NassauTRANSIT Provides Several Transportation Services to Residents of Nassau County, FL
With a fleet of more than 25 comfortable, modern buses, NassauTRANSIT is the public transportation system of Nassau County and an integral component of regional transportation in Northeast Florida. All drivers are FDOT trained and safety certified.
NassauTRANSIT provides both registered paratransit services and public transit services . Our public transit service includes on-demand Saturday travel — anywhere and everywhere on Amelia Island — via the Island Hopper. Residents and visitors may travel to downtown Jacksonville on Nassau Express Select morning, afternoon and early evening, a commuter express service and regional connector with JTA. Registered paratransit requires approval through an application process (see “Registered Paratransit” below).
Registered Paratransit
This program was established to provide transit services to the elderly, disabled, economically disadvantaged, children at risk and individuals who do not have a means of transportation. Those who qualify for this program may schedule door-to-door transportation in advance.

Nassau Express Select
An executive-style commuter service between Nassau County and downtown Jacksonville, vehicles are comfortable and fully equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and USB charging ports at each seat.
FARES
NassauTRANSIT and Island Hopper - The fare is $2.00 per person, per boarding and is paid upon boarding the vehicle. There is no charge for bus transfers. Passengers must use exact change.
Nassau Express Select - Fares are
$3.00 one-way (no application required)
REGISTERED PARATRANSIT SERVICES
NassauTRANSIT - The fare is
$2.00 per person, per boarding or $4.00 round trip.
Note: Paratransit passengers must submit the necessary documentation found under “Mobility Services” and be qualified for this program.
Registered paratransit passengers must call NassauTRANSIT at 904-261-0700 or 800-298-9122 to make reservations in advance. Passengers will be picked up and dropped off at agreed times and locations.
