NassauTRANSIT is a partner in an initiative that received an award from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO), headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The 2019 award recipient is the Regional Transit Working Group (RTWG) for its ongoing development of a regional public transit system in northeast Florida. The transit systems in Nassau, Baker, Clay, Duval, Putnam and St. Johns counties, working with many partners including Florida DOT and Northeast Florida Regional Council, are in the process of creating a coordinated regional public transit system.
